Oct. 30: Today I went to work. I was in
the small office where there is only one other co-worker. It’s easy to surf the
internet and do personal things since I work on the computer and my boss or
anyone else who cares isn’t there to tell me that I’m not supposed to do that.
I was tempted to watch a TV show on the internet while I Photoshopped images
for my job, and it felt okay to watch a TV show since I was allowed to listen
to music and they’re basically the same thing. They also never specified that
watching TV shows wasn’t allowed.
In the back of my mind I felt
that I shouldn’t do that and that it would be too distracting even though
nobody would know. I decided just to listen to music like I’ve been okayed to
do. By doing this I was honoring and respecting my job and also my boss for
trusting me with my position.
