Oct. 31: Halloween is my most favorite day of the year. I love dressing up, seeing others dressed up, decorating, eating candy, making gory foods, and especially trick or treating. Tonight my boyfriend had a dance competition that he was going to be in. This wasn’t my ideal Halloween choice of activity, and I really wanted to go trick or treating. He wanted me to be there to support him.

I could have made something up to tell him that I couldn’t go to his dance competition and could have been selfish and did what I wanted to do more. Instead, I thought about him and willingly went to the competition and supported him from start until finish. By thinking of others and being honest with them I was building character and had integrity.
